I'm ecstatic with this uv light kit. I bought a new-to-me house in December 2023 and began renovations immediately. The house had a broken uv light in it and the replacement bulb for that light cost about $50 more than this whole setup cost. This really isn't too hard to install. I can't believe I saved over $150 getting this unit and you could say I saved significantly more than that with all the spare parts included. Everything is high quality. The only exception might be the plastic snap mounts. But they are adequate. No one is removing this and reinstalling constantly so they should last practically forever. Most of these reviews are from people who don't know how to work on anything. You will need good plumbing knowledge and an understanding of how these light reactors work. You will need Teflon tape, dope and plumbers waterproof grease. If you have too much trouble with the included quartz tube gasket you can get beefier ones that make it easier to get a seal. I had almost no trouble getting mine to seal. I also built my own 10 inch stub outs to keep my pex tubing from degrading from the uv light. Pex isn't uv stable, so this light will break down the tubing unless you protect it. As you can see in my pictures I also built my own whole house water filter set up. 20/5 (filter acts as 20 micron if you use as first filter) micron filter on inlet and 1 micron filter on outlet. This is so that the uv light can work at maximum efficiency. Without them there is the potential for bacteria, cysts/protozoa, or viruses to hide behind debris from your well and not be killed by the uv light. (Forgot to mention I'm on a well) I'd say, if you're on the fence, buy it. Heck, you could buy 2 kits and still not spend as much as the competition. 6 bulbs, 4 quartz tubes, 4 controllers, 2 reactors/mounts all for less than $200. You literally can't beat that deal!
