we had sulfur smell like everyone says.we have a water softener that i removed all the salt and cleaned the tank. that did not do anything although i felt good about it cause it was clean. after i replaced my regular carbon filter with this one the smell, taste, odor, presence in the air after a shower stinking up the place was totally gone. i replaced, ran my sinks for a while, then by the time shower time came the smell like i said was gone.
