Unable to remove old cartridge without relieving pressure on water line. Be sure to read instructions on internet.Water for drinkingThis new canister has the markings of a used canister. It came in sealed plastic but looked used.I think these are far too expensive in general, but I can buy them here at a pretty decent price. In taste tests, the water that comes from these filters wins every time against bottled water, so I'm happy with the system overall. When you first change the filters, they often have a ton of air bubbles ... the bubbles are harmless and if you let the water sit for a minute the bubbles dissipate. After a day or two, the bubbles are gone. They last longer than six months, in my opinion ... closer to a year.i expected the water to taste great but not any better than out of the tap. i hope it’s actually doing some good.We have had this system for years. Recently needed to buy a replacement filter. The cost was double what it was from the previous year $80 to $164)I am not a fan of price gauging so I decided to try out a new filter system - Everpure. On paper a better system and more value. In short, it is an okay system. Filters last (for us) 6 months or so. No leaks.Very easy to replace cartridge that lasts about a year. We use it for all our cooking and drinking.I've been using the EverPure H-300 filter for three years now, and I am on my fourth filter. I have it mounted under my kitchen sink, where it dispenses from its own faucet. It's a large filter, so I had to make sure the cabinet under the sink was set up properly to accommodate it. Once the system was all set up, it was great. The filter itself is easy to change. I just twist the old one off and twist the new one on. It takes me about five minutes, and that's only because I have to get awkwardly inside my under-sink cabinet. To give you an idea of how long the filter lasts, my family of five uses the filtered water for drinking and cooking, but not for things like washing dishes. Given that amount of usage, each filter has lasted 10-11 months. It comes with a timer to indicate when the filter should be replaced, but I've been ignoring that. I wait until the water pressure starts to get lower, and then I replace it.As far as what it filters out, this is a good choice compared to Brita or other pitcher type filters. As others have mentioned, it does reduce the amount of lead in the water. If you really want to get everything out of your water, you need to get something like a reverse osmosis system. That can be expensive and has its own downsides, so I haven't gone that route.works great, but you have to make sure to have a sediment filter installed. Otherwise, if your water source output a blast of sediments, it will clog in less than a day.Great price. Delivery was fast. Easy to install. No hassles. Would purchase again.Buena atencionjust what i was looking for
